Who's messing your life up more these days? Doug Ford or Justin Trudeau? Wait, before you answer that, let me challenge you. Do you know that the Bible teaches us that everyone in authority has been placed there by God? In Ecclesiastes, Solomon teaches us that we should never make light of a king even in our own thoughts. All of us can sympathize with the experience of watching political leaders or even bosses at work make decisions that we think are stupid or maybe even harmful. And we're convinced that if we were in their position, we could do a better job, or at least we'd be making better decisions than they do. But every time we go down, this thought process, we're actually going directly against what the Bible teaches on this. Submit because all authority is established by God. Pray for them, Don't hate on them. As a follower of Jesus, our role is not to call out every flaw we see in our leaders, but to serve and love well and to do our part to work for the peace and success of our country.
