Repentance Is Not A One Step Process

But I look at the story of the Ninevites and I look through the scriptures and here's what I begin to discover that we tend to view repentance through the lens of our lives rather than the lens of God's mercy. Because repentance from God's perspective is not merely a point in time, it's a process. I wrote it down this way. God's mercy called us to repentance long before we ever heard His message. God's grace accepted our repentance the moment we believed His message. And God's love responded to our repentance. And in his kindness and compassion, he fills us with His grace and his joy.
