YOU CANNOT GROW SPIRITUALLY BY ONLY ATTENDING CHURCH

>

Do you find it easier to worship in church than you do at home? I was listening to this leadership podcast this week. They said The spiritual growth of a person that attends church 40 times a year, is the exact same spiritual growth that a person who attends church 4 Sundays a year is. You can not attend here and go. “This is my spiritual growth and I'm following Jesus.” This inspires you, we connect with each other, we're motivated to growth. we get context. But we don't grow here. They said, What is the characteristic trait of somebody that's growing spiritually and getting closer to God? They pray and they read their Bible. Now, when I pray and I read my Bible, I want to come to church and I want to be here. I want to be around the event. But my growth is when I pray and I read my Bible. Let me ask you this. Are you more interested in the words of a celebrity pastor or somebody you follow or or something you hear online? Is that more important to you than when you open up your Bible tomorrow morning and go Scripture, observation and application prayer? What's more important to you? Because if hearing the word from a pastor on a stage is more important to you, I will challenge you. There is a motivation in your heart.
